Google Business Profile Checklist
Use this checklist to review the accuracy of a public profile before making changes.
Confirm eligibility and identity
Check that the business meets customers in person and uses its real-world name. Online-only businesses are not eligible. Avoid invented locations or names padded with search terms.
Review the customer-facing details
Check the actual address or service area, primary category, phone number, website, and customer-facing hours. The details should describe the real operation and agree with the website.
Make services easier to understand
Review service descriptions and useful business photographs. Check whether the linked page explains the service a visitor expects. Have an owner approve changes that affect the business's public identity.
Keep a short maintenance routine
Recheck changing hours and contact links. Respond thoughtfully to reviews and keep public information current. Google describes local ranking in terms of relevance, distance, and prominence; this checklist is not a ranking guarantee.
