A
Address
A blockchain address is a public string of letters and numbers used to send, receive, or view crypto activity.
Example:
0x1F98Af450fb47DE02BB94cC52684183bd2FD736F
A public address is safe to share. A private key or seed phrase is never safe to share.
Airdrop
An airdrop is when tokens are distributed to users, often for free, as part of a promotion, reward, or community event.
Be careful: fake airdrops are commonly used to trick people into connecting wallets or signing dangerous transactions.
Audit
An audit is a review of a smart contract by a security team. Audits can help identify risks, but they do not guarantee a project is completely safe.
B
BNB Smart Chain
BNB Smart Chain, also called BSC, is the blockchain network where $PICKLE is launched.
BscScan
BscScan is a blockchain explorer for BNB Smart Chain. It lets users view token contracts, wallet activity, holders, transfers, and transaction history.
Buy Tax
Buy tax is a fee charged when someone buys a token. For example, a 6% buy tax means 6% of the transaction may be redirected based on the token’s rules.
C
Centralized Exchange
A centralized exchange is a platform controlled by a company where users can buy, sell, or trade crypto. Examples include major crypto exchanges.
Contract Address
A contract address is the official blockchain address of a token or smart contract.
Always verify the contract address before buying a token.
Official $PICKLE contract:
0x1F98Af450fb47DE02BB94cC52684183bd2FD736F
Contract Verification
Contract verification means the smart contract code is publicly viewable on a blockchain explorer like BscScan.
Verified code helps users and developers review how the contract works.
D
DApp
A DApp is a decentralized application. It usually connects to a crypto wallet and runs through blockchain-based smart contracts.
Decentralized Exchange
A decentralized exchange, also called a DEX, allows users to trade tokens directly through their wallet.
PancakeSwap is a popular DEX on BNB Smart Chain.
DEX Screener
DEX Screener is a tool that tracks token price, liquidity, volume, trading pairs, and market activity across decentralized exchanges.
DYOR
DYOR means Do Your Own Research.
It means users should check contract information, liquidity, holders, risk reports, website links, and community activity before buying or interacting with a project.
F
Fake Contract
A fake contract is a token contract created to look like a real project. Scammers may copy names, logos, and tickers to confuse users.
Always get contract addresses from official sources.
FOMO
FOMO means Fear of Missing Out. It happens when people rush into a token because they feel they might miss a big opportunity.
FOMO can lead to bad decisions if users do not research first.
G
Gas Fee
A gas fee is the blockchain fee paid to process a transaction. On BNB Smart Chain, gas fees are usually paid in BNB.
GoPlus Security
GoPlus Security is a Web3 security data provider that can help identify token risk signals such as honeypot behavior, taxes, blacklist functions, proxy contracts, and other security indicators.
H
Holder
A holder is a wallet address that owns a token.
Holder Distribution
Holder distribution shows how a token supply is spread across wallets.
If only a few wallets hold most of the supply, it may create additional risk.
Honeypot
A honeypot is a token that may allow users to buy but prevent or restrict them from selling.
This is one of the most important risks to check before buying unknown tokens.
K
KYC
KYC means Know Your Customer. It is a process used to verify someone’s identity.
Some crypto projects or platforms may complete KYC to build trust, but KYC does not guarantee success or safety.
L
Liquidity
Liquidity is the amount of money or tokens available in a trading pool so users can buy and sell.
More liquidity usually makes trading easier.
Liquidity Lock
A liquidity lock means liquidity tokens are locked for a period of time so they cannot be removed by the project owner during that period.
Locked liquidity can build trust, but users should still research the project.
Liquidity Pool
A liquidity pool is a smart contract that holds two assets, such as BNB and $PICKLE, so people can trade between them on a DEX.
M
Market Cap
Market cap is the estimated total value of a token.
A simple formula is:
Token Price × Circulating Supply = Market Cap
MetaMask
MetaMask is a popular crypto wallet used to store tokens, connect to Web3 apps, and interact with blockchains.
Never share your MetaMask seed phrase with anyone.
Mintable
If a token is mintable, it may allow new tokens to be created after launch.
This can be normal in some projects, but it can also create risk if not controlled transparently.
O
Ownership
Ownership refers to who controls certain smart contract permissions.
If ownership is not renounced or protected by a multisig/timelock, the owner may have the ability to change some contract settings depending on the contract code.
Ownership Renounced
Ownership renounced means the contract owner has given up ownership privileges.
This can reduce certain risks, but users should still review the contract and project details.
P
PancakeSwap
PancakeSwap is a decentralized exchange on BNB Smart Chain. It allows users to swap BNB and other tokens.
Phishing
Phishing is a scam where attackers try to trick users into revealing private information or connecting wallets to fake websites.
Always check website URLs carefully.
Private Key
A private key is a secret code that controls access to a crypto wallet.
Never share your private key. Anyone with it can control your wallet.
Proxy Contract
A proxy contract may allow contract logic to be upgraded or changed.
This can be useful for development, but it may also create risk if users do not understand who controls upgrades.
Q
Quantum Computing
Quantum computing is an advanced type of computing that may one day impact certain forms of digital security.
Pickle Samurai uses “quantum-ready” as an educational theme focused on future-facing security awareness.
Quantum Scanner
The Pickle Samurai Quantum Scanner is a beta Web3 safety tool designed to help users review public token links, BscScan verification, DEX Screener information, TokenSniffer reports, and educational risk indicators.
R
Reflections
Reflections are token rewards automatically distributed to holders based on token transaction activity.
Rug Pull
A rug pull is when project creators remove liquidity, abandon a project, or manipulate a token in a way that harms holders.
Always research liquidity, ownership, contract permissions, and project transparency.
S
Seed Phrase
A seed phrase is a group of words used to recover a crypto wallet.
Never share your seed phrase with anyone. No real support agent, project, scanner, or exchange will ever ask for it.
Sell Tax
Sell tax is a fee charged when someone sells a token.
Slippage
Slippage is the difference between the expected price of a trade and the actual price when the trade is completed.
High slippage may be needed for some taxed tokens, but it can also increase risk.
Smart Contract
A smart contract is blockchain-based code that runs automatically based on rules written into the contract.
Tokens, DEX swaps, staking, and many Web3 apps use smart contracts.
T
Token
A token is a digital asset created on a blockchain.
$PICKLE is the Pickle Samurai token on BNB Smart Chain.
Tokenomics
Tokenomics explains how a token is structured, including supply, taxes, utility, distribution, and project economics.
TokenSniffer
TokenSniffer is a public tool that can help users review token risk signals, scam indicators, and token score information when available.
Transaction
A transaction is an action recorded on the blockchain, such as sending tokens, buying tokens, selling tokens, or approving a smart contract.
V
Verified Contract
A verified contract means the source code is publicly available on a blockchain explorer like BscScan.
This helps users and developers inspect the contract.
Volume
Volume is the amount of trading activity for a token during a certain period, often shown over 24 hours.
Higher volume may show more market activity, but it does not guarantee safety.
W
Wallet
A crypto wallet stores your public address and private keys. It lets you send, receive, hold, and interact with crypto assets.
Wallet Approval
A wallet approval gives a smart contract permission to interact with tokens in your wallet.
Be careful with unlimited approvals and revoke suspicious permissions when needed.
Web3
Web3 refers to blockchain-based internet applications that often use crypto wallets, smart contracts, tokens, and decentralized systems.
Pickle Samurai Safety Reminder
